Other Thoughts: Even the lowest setting (will run about 50 hours on low) puts out a useful amount of light and medium setting (10 hours) is quite bright. On high this this is bright and will run for 4 hours, on turbo it is even brighter and 2 hours at that brightness is pretty darn good!
Bottomline: If you want a 2 x AA torch of this size then you won't find much better than this. Anything as good will cost as much or more, anything cheaper is unlikely to be as good.

What I really like about DealExtreme.com is that as well as selling top selling items like IPod Earphones and Cree Flashlights they sell many electronic components like LED'S, soldering appartus and lots of 'hobby' items for enthusaists that like to build their own circuitry or models. Another handy feature of the dropshipping on DealExtreme.com is the ability to remove the website logo and address from the packaging. This is very useful, I mean, you don't want all your customers knowing where their product arrived from right? I spend most of my sourcing time on DealExtreme.com as the array of products is awesome. The constantly add many new products every day & have a $2 gadgets section where all gizmos & gadgets are just $2 including p&p to any counttry (save a few). If you are just starting out in the confusing world of wholsale & dropshipping I highly recommend DealExtreme.com The only negative thing I could say about them is they do not have a Escrow payment system like DHgate, Beltal or Tradetang. But as they accept Paypal disputing is easily done if you are unfortunate enough to find yourself in that position.

Sourcing From China With TradeTang.com

Like DHgate.com & Beltal.com, Tradetang.com is another Chinese wholesaler & drop shipping hub with the focus mainly on consumer electronics especially mobile phones/cellphones. They do however sell other items such as clothing, home & garden goods, car parts & wedding dresses to mention just a few. Tradetang processes all payments via the Escrow payment system like DHgate.com & Beltal. You will find a 'drop shipping' zone and a 'free shipping' zone on Tradetang so you can filter your search results to just show products that fall into these categories. You can buy many branded products here including Nintendo Wii consoles, Wii fitness boards, PSP's and many other popular console systems. Tradetang rates its sellers in three different categories, Bronze, Silver & Gold. The higher the status (Gold being the highest) the more positive sales the seller has completed.

Always do your research before placing orders check what other buyers have said about their sales experiences by checking their feedback (much the same as EBay's system of leaving feedback) I have made several successful orders from Tradetang with no problems at all. Personally, I always buy non-branded products as these seem to clear customs with no extra charges such as import duty. In extreme cases items that may be deemed counterfeit by customs or in breach of the owners intellectual property rights may be confiscated & destroyed. This is why it is important to always do your research on a seller before committing to buy. This goes for anything you purchase online that is not from a recognised company or individual seller.

Beltal.com Reliable Drop Shipping & Wholesale From China

Beltal is very similar to DHgate.com in fact the navigation and layout is very similar although nor identical. They also feature many of the same products & seller as DHgate.com Beltal offer a 'price match guarantee' which is handy if you find other similar products on the Internet they will match this price. Although I haven't yet tried this function it is a good addition. I have found with Beltal they have a slightly less diverse range than DHgate.com but having said that they do offer some items in abundance that DHgate.com do not sell so much of. Items such as musical instruments, DJ equipment, Sporting goods etc. Beltal also offer Escrow payments so you know your purchases are safe. For more info on Escrow see my last post about DHgate.

I have been trading with drop shippers and wholesalers alike on Beltal for over a year now and personally I haven't had one negative experience. The only problem with drop shipping from China I have found is goods to the UK can take anywhere from 10-15 business days to be delivered (by EMS) if you want quicker delivery there are options for Fedex & DHL but these services will cost you considerably extra on top of your purchases.

What products sell well? Personally I have found that ipod & iphone accessories sell very well, be it a ipod shuffle or a iphone 3GS, any accessories for any items that Apple sell do tend to sell better than most other consumer electronics, but this can change overnight as market forces & habits change. EBay is a good place to start to discover with a little research what products sell well & which do not sell so well.

DHgate.com Drop Shipping & Wholesale From China

DHgate.com is a Chinese based selling hub, where factory owners & individuals advertise their goods. They are very good for shipping pretty much anything. But what I will say now, is if you are after branded Mobile Phones (Cell Phones) then you are probably going to be disappointed. Many people when they first start out in wholesale think that they can pick up iPhone & top spec Nokia's like N95's & N97's for next to nothing. These items are very strictly distributed & you usually will need a retail store in which to sell such items. So don't expect to pick up a IPhone 3GS for $150 each. However, there ARE some sellers on DHgate that sell Blackberry phones that are the real deal. I have also seem some genuine Nokia & Samsung models although these are usually mid-spec models. As with all trading online use common sense. If say a Nokia N95 is being advertised at $99 new, boxed etc. then you can rest assured that it will probably be a copy or a clone of the original.

Apart from consumer electronics DHgate has provided me with some good products that I have successfully been selling online for along time now. One of my favourites to sell on are the 'As Seen On TV ' range. This range is huge & you usually find this items on 'infomercial' channels like QVC here in the UK. You can buy Slap Chops , FURminators , Snuggie Fleece Blankets , Slendertone System Abs , Nicer Dicers.. just to name a few. There are literally hundreds of products you can sell from this range & the prices leave plenty of room for any profit.

If the above are not for you, well, there are thousands of other items you can sell on at DHgate, these include: Wedding Dresses, MP3 Players, Clothing, Kitchen Fittings, Home & Garden,
Sporting Goods.. there is anything for anybody on DHgate to get you started in selling online. Even if you are a market trader or do Car Boot sales, you will find some great items to sell on for a nice profit. Another good thing about DHgate is that almost all the sellers offer 'drop shipping' services, and there are also many 'factory sellers' whom sell direct from the factory thus cutting out the middle man & making you more profit.

I haven't spoken about what payment DHgate accept, so here we go. DHgate offer 'Escrow' payments on EVERY purchase. Escrow is a payment method where by you pay DHgate for what ever item you have purchased and they then release the payment to the seller when the item has been successfully delivered to you or your customers/clients. They accept Paypal, Google Checkout, Bank Transfers & Western Union. I always use Paypal & Google Checkout for obvious reasons.

Getting Started With Wholesale & Drop Shipping - Where Do I Start?

If you are new to selling online or are a experienced seller this blog should help you find new sources of products that will suit your business needs & customer requirements. I have been selling online since 2001, and when I first started out I had no idea where to look for products to sell. In fact, I first started looking in my local & free newspapers for sources! that's how clueless I was! Now with eight years experience behind me, I have a trusted group of wholesalers and drop shippers that I regulary use. Many of you will be asking 'What is drop shipping?' Dropshipping is a method of selling without holding or storingany of the stock yourself. What you do is sell someone elses product, they then send the item on to your customer(s). This works by you (the seller) advertising your dropshippers products (ebay, amazon, personal website etc.) you collect the payment, pay your dropshipper & keeping any profit that yo make from that sale. Your supplier then ships the item on your behalf. Dropshipping is great if you have limited space to hold stock. It is also good because you can choose your profit margins. For example, your supplier is seling MP3 players for $99 you advertise them for $150, you get paid $150 by your customer, pay your supplier $99 & you keep $51 profit for yourself.

There are disadvantages to dropshipping, on I found is you are constricted by yor supplier dispatch times, so sometimes shipping can take longer than if you wee physicallydoing it yourself. One other disadvantage is you cannot physically see the stock, as it is not in your posession so you are at the mercy of your suppliers descriptions & photos of any items. If items have to be returned for any reason you have to arrange the buyer to provide evidence of any damage, which uually means them sending the good back to YOU so you can examine thm & then you have to send them back to your supplier. This can be tedious & time consuming.

Okay, so now I know what dropshipping is all about, but where can I find the suppliers? Whatcompanies or individuals can I trust to offer me goods at wholesale prices?
